Privacy Policy - AutomateHabit

This Privacy Policy explains how AutomateHabit ("the App," "we," "us") handles information when you use our habit tracking application.

AutomateHabit is developed by Milan Dhameliya, an individual developer based in Gujarat, India.

1. Summary

AutomateHabit is designed to work completely offline. We do not require account creation, we do not sync your data to any server, and we do not collect or transmit your personal data to us. All information you enter into the app stays on your device.

2. Information You Provide

  • Your Name: The app asks for your name so it can be displayed on your home screen (e.g., "Good morning, Milan"). This name is stored only on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.
  • Habit Data: Any habits, goals, notes, streaks, or related information you create in the app are entered and stored by you, for your own use. This data is stored locally on your device only.

We do not access, view, collect, or store this information on any server, because the app does not connect to one.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

  • Email addresses, phone numbers, or login credentials (no account/login exists in the app)
  • Location data
  • Health data from Apple Health or any other health platform
  • Contacts, photos, or other device data outside of what you manually enter

4. Third-Party Services

AutomateHabit uses the following services, provided by Apple, to operate core functionality:

  • Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit): Used to process the yearly ($14.99) and lifetime ($29.99) unlock purchases. All payment and billing information is handled directly by Apple. We do not see or store your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles this data.
  • Apple Push Notifications (APNs): Used to send you local habit reminder notifications. These notifications are scheduled and delivered on your device; we do not receive any data as a result of this.

We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs at this time. If this changes in a future update, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly, and the update will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.

5. Data Storage and Security

Because all your data (name and habit information) is stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage, it is protected by your device's own security features (passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, encryption at rest, etc.). We do not have access to this data and cannot retrieve, view, or restore it if you lose your device or delete the app.

6. Data Deletion

Since we do not store your data on any server, there is nothing for us to delete on our end. You can delete all app data at any time by:

  • Deleting individual habits within the app, or
  • Deleting the app from your device, which removes all locally stored data (name, habits, streaks, etc.) permanently.

7. Children's Privacy

AutomateHabit does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app collects no data beyond a locally-stored display name and user-entered habit content, and has no account system, it does not knowingly target or collect data from children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your country).

8. Your Purchases

Purchases (yearly subscription or lifetime unlock) are processed and managed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not have access to your payment method, billing address, or transaction history. To manage or cancel a subscription, or request a refund, please see Apple's support page or go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features (like cloud sync or analytics) in the future. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
